Recently diagnosed

Hello,

I was diagnosed just this week. My symptoms started in Dec 2016 and gradually worsened. I mainly had problems with balance and ataxia. MRI showed typical patterns of CLIPPERS.
MRI and symptoms rapidly improved when on IV steroids (5x1000mg).

My doctor wants to taper steroids for 3 months and try to introduce azathioprine in the meantime. After that he wants me to be on azathioprine without any further steroids.

Anyone has experience with this medication?
